These services availed by Grameen Bank will not only increase efficiency of daily operation but also will ensure faster communication.
Grameen Bank provides financial services to the rural poor of Bangladesh. Those services include loans, saving accounts, pension plans and loan insurance. The overall goal of Grameen Bank is poverty elimination. Grameen Bank provides credit to the poorest in Bangladesh, without any collateral.
Grameenphone will equip Grameen Bank with cost effective data communication for all its area office across the country. Mr. Abdus Salam, General Manager (Services), Grameen Bank and Mr. Sajjad Alam, Head of Direct Sales, Grameenphone Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Mr. Ratan Kumar Nag (Acting Managing Director) of Grameen Bank and Mohammad Baqui Billah (General Manager), Siam ul Islam (Head of NGO Vertical), Khaled Hassan (Zone Manager) Md. Kamrul Islam, Account Manager from Grameenphone Limited was present during the event.
