There is a large and growing Bangladeshi expatriate population in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. It was difficult for village residents to contact by telephone and regular mail with their relatives and friends who work and staying in abroad, because of the high costs and long time delays associated with international correspondence. But now village residents sending and receiving email to contact with family members, friends, and relatives and local & international organization at instant and low cost.

The center is providing basic course on computer operating system, typing tutorial, MS Word, MS Excel and higher courses on Visual Basic, Web Designing, Graphics and hardware trouble shooting. The villages resident are getting low cost training program through the center, which was not available in last time. VCIP will provide special training packages to the children of Grameen Bank borrowers.

Villagers are writing letters, resumes, college applications, and making documents like newsletters, advertisements and announcements with help of center operator.

There is not a single computer in any schools or colleges at Madhupur. The center will provide the lab facility for schools and colleges. Schools and colleges can start Computer Course as a subject for their SSC (Secondary School Certificate) and HSC (Higher School Certificate) examination by using center as computer lab and take technical assistance from center operator.

Interactive educational program and games are providing to children. The operator has trained to facilitate such educational program.

The center is keeping database of Madhupur including agricultural products, health, education, government, non-government organization information. The center will be providing assistance in advertising and selling products made by village artisans over the Internet.

The center is providing information on health, agriculture, education, environment etc to the villagers.
